This free webinar will describe the evolution of a collaboration between a professional college and a researcher that resulted development of a series KT tools aimed at improving community pharmacy practice. Since 2010, the Chat Check and Chart model has been widely used to help pharmacists implement the standards for practice and the model is currently recognized by more than 70% of Alberta community pharmacists. Lisa Guirguis BScPharm PhD is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies for the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Alberta. She conducts pharmacy practice research that influences health policy and supports patients and pharmacists’ roles in patient-centred care. Her knowledge translation tools focus on practical strategies to help pharmacists engage patients in dialogue about safe medication use and have been adopted by provincial and national pharmacy organizations.

Shao Lee, BScPharm, MBA, PharmD
Alberta College of Pharmacists

Shao Lee, BScPharm, MBA, PharmD is currently the Professional Practice Director with the Alberta College of Pharmacists and is an instructor with the orofacial pain clinic at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. She is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methodologies and strategies to measure, monitor, support, and improve pharmacist and pharmacy technician practice and pharmacy practice settings.
