This Council election had competitive races in all the districts.
Congratulations to the five registrants who have been elected to the Council of the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
- District 1 (Northern Alberta), Peter Macek;
- District 3 (Edmonton), Craig MacAlpine;
- District 5 (Calgary), Brad Couldwell;
- District 5 (Calgary), Judi Parrott; and
- District A- pharmacy technician (Northern Alberta), Donald Ridley
Nobody was acclaimed in this election. There were five open positions, and 14 people put their name forward.
“It was exciting to see the number of candidates who engaged this time,” said Greg Eberhart, Registrar for the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP).
Voter turnout was higher in Edmonton than in other districts. All candidates will begin their first three-year term on July 1, 2018; except Brad Couldwell. Brad has been re-elected and will serve a two-year term.
