As we approach the close of another year, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to all regulated members of ACP. Your professionalism, dedication, and commitment to safe, ethical practice continue to strengthen both our profession and the trust placed in us by the public.
At the heart of ACP’s standards is the importance of delivering person-centred care to Albertans at every interaction. An essential aspect of this is developing strong, professional relationships with patients. These relationships are built and maintained every day at pharmacies across Alberta, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Professional relationships with patients provide the foundation for pharmacists to conduct the assessments necessary for safe, effective, person-centred care to be truly and consistently delivered. We hear from Albertans about the need for accessible health services, and pharmacy teams practising to full scope are well positioned to provide them.
This holiday season offers an important opportunity for reflection—on the challenges we’ve overcome, the growth we’ve achieved, and the meaningful impact each of you has had in your daily work. Whether in delivering patient care, in leadership, or in supporting roles across our system, your contributions make a profound difference in the lives of individuals and communities throughout our province.
On behalf of the College, I wish you and your families a joyful and a peaceful holiday season. May this time bring rest, connection, and renewal. We look forward to continuing our shared work in the new year, supporting excellence in practice, and advancing the profession together.
Warmest wishes for a safe and healthy 2026.
