Intimidated by laboratory values?

June 12, 2012

Do you wish you understood lab values better? Do you want to integrate them in the management of your patients’ medication therapy? If so, Practice Skills: Monitoring drug therapy using laboratory values is ideal for you!

Registration deadline: August 10, 2012

Intimidated by laboratory values?

The course runs from the end of August to the beginning of December 2012 and consists of a pre-workshop online module, a 1 ½ day workshop, online learning activities, and a four-part assignment.

The course has been updated to include more topics generated by previous participants as well as active learning in the workshop and online modules. If you have taken the Interpreting Laboratory Values course, this updated course will offer additional information and increased learning opportunities for monitoring lab values related to drug therapy for patients with conditions such as anemia, thyroid disorders, diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia.

Here’s what pharmacists said about last year’s course?

This course has changed the way I practice and not only in how I use laboratory values. It has raised my practice to a whole new level of excellence and made it so much more rewarding. Tony Nickonchuk

This course has breathed new life into my practice. I feel more confident in talking to patients and colleagues and other health care professionals about drug therapy management. Safia Chaudry

The best thing about this course was that I could start applying my newfound knowledge immediately. It has greatly enhanced my practice. C. Margaret Baril
