We invite you to join Registrar Greg Eberhart and Council President Brad Couldwell at our upcoming regional meetings in Red Deer (November 22) and Edmonton (November 29).
During these interactive evening sessions, we will explore two topics impacting pharmacy practice:
The two topics explored will be:
Opioids: We’ll discuss the opioid crisis and the important role pharmacists and pharmacy technicians play, what assessment and documentation looks like, tips and tools, and other aspects of treating individuals using opioid medications.
Professionalism: What is professionalism? What does it mean to be a pharmacy professional? We’ll explore this topic through reflection on the professional practices and characteristics of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, and on how the public views or understands our profession and how this aligns with our insider views of the profession.
A formal email invitation will be sent to you within the next week. Until then, go ahead and mark your calendars for the dates below!
November 22, 2017 – Red Deer (venue TBD)
November 29, 2017 – Edmonton (venue TBD)
All sessions take place from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Did you know? Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians can claim participation at regional meetings as non-accredited learning. One hour of participation is equal to one continuing education unit (CEU).
