This April, ACP welcomed 323 regulated members to the spring 2025 ACP Connect sessions in Edmonton, in Calgary, and online. Together, we reviewed practical advice for effective leadership for licensees and pharmacy team members.
ACP Council president Patrick Zachar opened the session with an introduction and welcome. Registrar Brad Willsey then discussed the many changes pharmacy teams have faced recently and contemplated the importance of leadership in times of change. Deputy registrar Kaye Moran provided an overview of the licensee’s role and a summary of some helpful resources. Following that, policy lead and compliance officer Monty Stanowich reviewed leadership considerations related to the implementation of ACP’s new Standards for the Operation of Licensed Pharmacies. Finally, deputy registrar Jeff Whissell provided an overview of ACP’s new continuous quality improvement program, CQI+. The session ended with a 30-minute Q&A panel where the presenters answered questions from in-person and virtual attendees.
You can access the video of the session on ACP’s YouTube channel. The presentation slides are also available here.
ACP extends our thanks to everyone who was able to join us for these important conversations and we look forward to gathering again for the next ACP Connect sessions.
