Pharmacy Appreciation Month is recognized every year in March to shine a spotlight on the pharmacy professions in Canada. It’s a time to celebrate the essential role of pharmacy professionals in delivering person-centred care, and to thank pharmacy teams for their ongoing commitment to supporting the health and well‑being of Canadians.

Here in Alberta, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians continue to demonstrate an inspiring level of professionalism, dedication, and commitment to ethical practice. I want to take a moment to acknowledge the meaningful impact of this commitment. Every day, pharmacy teams across the province provide compassionate, person-centred care that makes a real difference for patients and their families.
In an evolving healthcare landscape, patients depend more than ever on their pharmacy teams for accessible, trusted, and essential healthcare services. I am inspired to see how pharmacy teams continue to meet and exceed those expectations with expertise, adaptability, and a person-centred mindset to deliver quality health services.
Albertans are expecting more from pharmacy teams and pharmacy teams continue to deliver quality care despite workload pressures in the professions. The person-centred health services that you are delivering every day in your respective practices and roles are providing needed services for patients across the province.
I want to take this opportunity to celebrate the many ways in which pharmacy teams continue to demonstrate their commitment to upholding excellence in pharmacy practice. Thank you, pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, for your dedication. Your contributions matter and they are deeply appreciated.
