Each spring and fall, ACP’s registrar and members of Council visit different hubs across the province to host ACP Connect events. These events give registrants an opportunity to join ACP in person or virtually to discuss issues impacting pharmacy practice.
This spring, we’re headed to Edmonton and Calgary. Initially, we planned to visit Red Deer, but due to low registration numbers, we’ve relocated to Edmonton for the ACP Connect session on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
We hope you are able to join us to collectively reflect on recent experiences and share success stories. The pandemic was a catalyst for significant societal changes, many of which are now norms. ACP wants to hear firsthand reflections from pharmacy teams about how you adapted in response to the changing demands and expectations, as well as the growing needs of patients.
If you haven’t registered yet, here are a few reasons to join us.
Share your perspective: every pharmacy team has valuable learnings and perspectives to share. ACP Connect incorporates discussion and feedback opportunities so pharmacy teams can share their learnings and best practices with colleagues and ACP.
Collectively reflect on changes: The pandemic led to significant societal changes, many of which are now norms. Pharmacy teams have adapted in response to patients’ shifting understanding and expectations. This is an opportunity to discuss the approaches used to respond to changing demands and new norms in pharmacy practice.
Collaborate with colleagues: pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and students from across the province attend ACP Connect events. For those able to attend in person, getting the chance to sit down and chat is a great opportunity to get to know the other pharmacy professionals who practise in your community. For virtual attendees, the online chat allows participants to connect with other registrants from across the province.
Meet ACP leaders: ACP’s president and registrar host these events to meet with and learn from registrants. They want to hear from you, and this is a great opportunity to connect with ACP’s leaders.
Earn CEUs: participating in ACP Connect is worth non-accredited continuing education units (CEUs) for your continuing competence portfolio!
