Alberta Health Services has updated information to help pharmacy teams advise parents.
Alberta Health Services has updated the following health professional references about infant formulas that could be helpful for pharmacy teams when advising parents who cannot, or have made an informed decision not to, breastfeed or partially breastfeed their babies:
- Infant Formulas – Summary Sheet lists infant formulas available for retail sale in Canada according to their stage and composition for helping parents choose an appropriate infant formula.
- Infant Formulas – Ingredients and Indications is information on ingredients and indications for the use of infant formulas available at the retail level.
