The Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA) recently began distributing Choose Well. Stay Healthy, a newspaper-style report that briefly explains major chronic diseases and highlights healthy choices that are known to modify the risk of developing these long-lasting conditions, which are on the rise in Alberta.
HQCA is mailing one copy to each pharmacist and five copies to each pharmacy.
Given our busy lives, one of the biggest challenges can be weaving healthy choices into every day. That’s why Choose Well. Stay Healthy is filled with helpful tips on being more active, eating a healthy diet, moderating alcohol consumption and quitting smoking. Equally important are the suggestions it provides on how to stay committed to changes that deliver valuable health benefits.
