The Practice Review Board of the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA) has suspended Dr. James Irwin, licence #1835, from veterinary practice effective November 12, 2014 until further notice.
If an animal received a prescription written by Dr. Irwin before the suspension, or if there are refill orders on file, you must use your professional judgment as to the appropriateness of filling these prescriptions so as to not disrupt care that may be necessary, but keeping in mind that Dr. Irwin is no longer monitoring the animal.
