ACP Council has approved the 2019-20 fee schedule for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and licensed pharmacies. A cost of living increase has been applied to most fees in all categories. In three of the previous five years, the cost of living increase was waived by Council.
In two cases, fees increased by more than the cost of living allowance to meet ACP’s administrative requirements. A re-assessment for additional prescribing authorization is now $350, equaling the cost of an initial assessment. Also, the fee for a letter of standing from the college is now $100.
There is also a new practice site application assessment fee of $1,000 for prospective pharmacy owners. Pharmacy re-inspection fees, which were previously applied on a cost recovery basis, are now set at $750.
And the deadline for submitting pharmacy licence renewal fees and forms has changed. Fees and/or forms must be received by ACP before June 1. If fees and/or forms are received between June 1 and June 30, a non-compliance fee of $117 will be assessed.
