Important information from Alberta Health about next year's influenza immunization season.
The 2020-21 influenza immunization season will soon end. More than 1.5 million Albertans received influenza vaccine this season. The demand for influenza vaccine is expected to be equally high next season.
Similar to previous seasons, quadrivalent inactivated vaccine (QIV) will be available next season for Albertans six months of age to 64 years of age. For Albertans aged 65 and over, Fluzone high-dose quadrivalent vaccine (QIV-HD) will be available.
