August 10, 2022
Check out our mobile-friendly, digital report for highlights of how ACP governed pharmacy practice to serve, support, and protect the public’s health and well-being.

ACP’s 2021-22 Annual Report is now available online.

In our report, you’ll learn about many important initiatives that ACP achieved during the past year, including

  • partnering with the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences on a new bridging program for internationally educated pharmacist graduates (IEPGs),
  • creating new guidelines to support pharmacists in prescribing controlled substances and providing opioid agonist therapy (OAT), and
  • updating our standards to improve pharmacy safety and clarify providing services to animals.

You’ll read the story of a pharmacist who came to Alberta from the Caribbean to pursue his PharmD, wanting to strengthen his critical thinking skills to make better treatment decisions for his patients.

You’ll learn how the pandemic motivated pharmacy teams to offer new alternatives to their patients through virtual care, using appropriate technology to maximize convenience, efficiency, and safety.

You’ll find out how ACP’s Licensee Education Program (LEP) has benefitted both new and existing licensees in different ways.

The annual report highlights ACP’s work to improve the consistency and quality of pharmacy practice in Alberta and the strategic plan approved by Council.
