Assessors needed for upcoming OSCE exams

March 23, 2022
PEBC invites qualified pharmacists to apply

The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) invites qualified pharmacists to consider participating in the PEBC Qualifying Examination, Part II Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). Examinations are scheduled in Edmonton and Calgary on Sunday, May 29, 2022, and will include the performance assessment component.

Each year, PEBC invites interested pharmacists who have been practising in Canada for at least two years and who are currently providing or directly supervising patient care services (including dispensing, clinical, and/or drug information services) to apply as assessors for the OSCE.

It is particularly important that practising pharmacists be involved in assessing candidates for the clinical pharmacist register as the examination reflects both the health care needs of the public and the standards of the profession.

Pharmacists interested in participating as assessors are encouraged to complete the assessor application form and submit it to Shelley Takacs (Edmonton Site Administrator) at takacs@ualberta.ca or Elaine Curtis (Calgary Site Administrator) at pebccalgary.elaine@gmail.com.
