Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE) assessors needed

June 29, 2022
PEBC invites pharmacy technicians to apply.

The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) invites pharmacy technicians to consider participating in the PEBC Qualifying Examination, Part II Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE). The examination is scheduled in Edmonton on Sunday, September 11, 2022, and will include the performance assessment component.

Twice a year, PEBC invites interested pharmacy technicians who are currently registered in Canada and who are practising in a patient care setting to apply as assessors for the OSPE.

It is particularly important that practising pharmacy technicians be involved in assessing candidates for the pharmacy technician register as the examination reflects both the health care needs of the public and the standards of the profession.

Pharmacy technicians interested in participating as assessors are encouraged to complete the assessor application form and submit it to Shelley Takacs (Edmonton Site Administrator) at takacs@ualberta.ca.
