To qualify you must:

  • have been licensed in Canada for at least 3 years,
  • currently be a member in good standing, and
  • be providing or directly supervising patient care services, including dispensing, clinical and drug information services.

Assessors will be involved in the objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) used to evaluate candidates.

Preceptors in the practice setting (e.g., for structured practical training, internship and clerkship programs) and occasional teaching assistants/lab facilitators in years 1 and 2 of the academic program would normally qualify as assessors.
