The long-awaited COVID-19 vaccine is beginning to rollout in Alberta. Pharmacists with authorization to administer drugs by injection can make a difference by helping with the initial administration of the vaccine within Alberta Health Services (AHS) for individuals who fall in the first priority groups.
Authorized pharmacists can make a difference in the fight against COVID-19 by using their skills to help with crucial tasks such as vaccine administration and education. Pharmacists can provide much-needed, on-the-ground support at designated AHS facilities in casual positions that can accommodate their current work schedules.
AHS encourages qualified pharmacists to apply today and help defeat COVID-19.
