Students: apply for ACP’s Student Professional Development Grant

September 29, 2021
Grants of $1,000 are available to selected pharmacy and pharmacy technician students.

Are you a full-time University of Alberta (U of A) Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences student or taking an accredited, Alberta-based pharmacy technician program? Here’s your opportunity to earn a $1,000 grant from the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Each year, ACP awards up to four grants of $1,000 to assist students to develop professionally while active in their studies. By awarding these Student Professional Development Grants, ACP hopes to recognize and foster spirit and leadership within the pharmacy professions.

ACP will award up to three Student Professional Development Grants ($1,000 each) to selected undergraduate students registered with the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the U of A and one Student Professional Development Grant ($1,000) to a selected pharmacy technician student registered in an Alberta-based, accredited pharmacy technician program.

Grants will be provided to support student projects aimed towards advancing their profession, or for professional development activities that will advance professionalism and leadership skills.

To be eligible for the grant, you must be a full-time student and be able to demonstrate your commitment towards involvement in professionally related group activities.

To apply, you must complete and submit the application form available on the ACP website and include a letter of reference. The deadline to apply is November 15, 2021.

For more information on the Student Professional Development Grant, refer to the terms of reference.
