Pharmacists should refer to the standards for direction.
This is a reminder to all pharmacists that the temporary accommodation to prescribe without seeing the patient in person, that was part of the COVID-19 guidance, expires on July 1, 2022. Pharmacists who are providing virtual care services including assessing and prescribing should refer to the new ACP Standards of Practice for Virtual Care and the Standards of Practice for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians for direction.
