You have questions? We have resources

August 21, 2012

There is a lot happening in pharmacy, and it is vital to keep up to date. We appreciate the effort this takes and want to help you keep your practice safe and current. So, we’ve compiled an extensive set of resources on the ACP website.

You have questions? We have resources

Logging on to pharmacists.ab.ca may be the missing piece to many of your practice puzzles.

On the homepage, check out Spotlight for the latest news. See the Bulletin Board for frequently referenced practice resources.

Look through the For the Public section to help with answers to patient questions.

If you are looking for information about professional development events, or want to refer to an article from a past issue of acpnews, The Link, Transition Times, heads up!, or DUE Quarterly, look under the News & Events tab.

The Registration & Licensure section takes the guesswork out of registering for or renewing your practice permit or licensing a pharmacy.

The Continuing Competence pages contain everything you need to know to complete your CPD plan, maintain your learning portfolio, or prepare for a competence assessment.

Click on the Practice Resources tab to find information about standards, provincial and federal legislation, drug schedules and practice guidelines. You’ll also find info sheets and posters you can use and the forms you need.

Under the Prescriber Lists tab, you’ll not only find authorized prescriber information for many other health professions, but forgery alerts and a list of stolen of missing TPPs.

Still can’t find the answer?

If you don’t find the answer to your question on the ACP website, you have other options.

  • For non-urgent questions, you can email acpinfo@abpharmacy.ca (please include your phone number). Your question will then be forwarded to the most appropriate ACP staff.
  • You may also email an ACP staff member directly. The staff contact list is at Contact Us/ACP Staff.
  • For questions directly related to your pharmacy assessment, please contact the pharmacy practice consultant who conducted your assessment.
