Who comes to mind when you think of the phrase “distinguished service to the practice of pharmacists or pharmacy technicians?”
Perhaps you studied under a truly inspiring pharmacy instructor as a student.
Maybe you worked with someone whose commitment to patient safety made a difference on a larger scale.
A colleague who inspired you with a grassroots initiative to improve pharmacy practice?
Or a peer who found a creative way to contribute to the pharmacy professions?
It might even be that the person who comes to mind for you isn’t a pharmacist or pharmacy technician, but someone who rendered distinguished service to the practice of pharmacy through their leadership or involvement in advocacy work.
Is there someone who stands out for you?
ACP encourages you to nominate that individual for the highest honours the college can bestow: Honorary Life Membership or Honorary Membership.
If the individual is a pharmacist or pharmacy technician, you can nominate them for Honorary Life Membership. The Honorary Life Membership is presented to individuals who are or have been registered as clinical pharmacists or pharmacy technicians and have, in the opinion of Council, rendered distinguished service to the practice of pharmacy.
If the person who you’re thinking of is not a pharmacist or pharmacy technician, but has still contributed in a significant way to the practice of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, you are encouraged to nominate that individual for Honorary Membership.
So often, dedication and hard work goes underappreciated. Let’s celebrate the innovators, the altruists, and the leaders who have advanced the pharmacy professions.
