An updated version of the Bugs and Drugs handbook is scheduled for release in August. You can receive it either in hardcopy or as an iPhone app. Alberta Health and Wellness will provide the handbook at no cost to every pharmacist in Alberta, and ACP has agreed to manage and pay for distribution. Right now, we need to know quantities.
State your preferred format and register for your free copy here. Order deadline is February 9, 2012.
The Bugs and Drugs handbook educates health care providers on the appropriate use of antimicrobials and the optimal treatment and prevention of infectious diseases. View the current edition.
The iPhone application, which will also work on an iPad, will be provided as a two-year subscription. Detailed terms of the subscription will be determined by guidelines provided by Apple and Alberta Health Services. (Only an iPhone app will be available initially. It is a pilot at this point, with expansion planned to all platforms in the future).
