New pathways opening for internationally educated pharmacist graduates

April 30, 2024
ACP removes requirement based on new criteria.

In an effort to streamline the registration process, ACP is opening up new opportunities for internationally educated pharmacist graduates (IEPGs).

As of June 1, 2024, IEPGs will no longer be required to complete the Certificate to Canadian Pharmacy Practice (CCPP) program if they have

  • completed a Doctor of Pharmacy program in the United States accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), or
  • passed the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) Qualifying Exams Parts I (MCQ) and II (OSCE) on their first attempt.

For more details, see the initial registration information for IEPGs.
