ACP’s new Licensee and Proprietor Education Programs (LPEP) was developed to ensure that licensees and proprietors
- keep up to date with information required for their specific roles,
- understand their responsibilities,
- ensure their knowledge is current, and
- operate their pharmacy in accordance with all standards and legislation.
To achieve these outcomes and support quality pharmacy practice across the province, ACP requires all licensees and proprietor’s representatives to complete the LPEP prior to applying to renew their 2025-26 pharmacy licence. When the licensee submits the pharmacy licence renewal application in myACP, evidence of completion will be required as part of the supporting documentation as follows.
Licensees
Licensees are required to submit evidence of completion of
- Licensee Development, or
- Licensee Fundamentals.
Proprietor’s representatives
Proprietor’s representatives are required to submit evidence of completion of
- Proprietor Education Program (PEP), or
- Licensee Fundamentals.
Licensees who are also proprietor’s representatives
Licensees who are also proprietor’s representatives must submit evidence of completion of
- Licensee Fundamentals, or
- both Licensee Development and Proprietor Education Program (PEP).

Licensees and proprietors have access to the LPEP now and can complete the programs at any time. It is recommended to complete the LPEP as soon as possible to allow sufficient time to complete all required learning components.
The certificate of completion is required to submit the 2025-26 pharmacy licence renewal application in myACP, so the program must be completed prior to the application deadline for pharmacy licence renewal on May 31, 2025.
