Assessors needed for PEBC Qualifying Examination in Calgary

January 13, 2026
Applications for assessors are now being accepted for the exam on February 22, 2026.

The Calgary Exam Centre is now accepting applications to participate as an assessor (ASR) for the February 22, 2026, administration of the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) Qualifying Examination – Part II (Objective Structured Clinical Examination or OSCE).

The required time commitment is as follows:

  • one orientation session for new assessors and returning assessors who have not participated in an exam in the past year (held in person at exam site before exam day),
  • one training session for all assessors (held online before exam day),
  • Online training – independent review of information and completion of scoring practice exercises (held before exam day), and
  • exam day participation on February 22, 2026 – approximately 11 hours.

All PEBC assessors are classified as independent contractors rather than employees of the PEBC. Assessors will be compensated at a flat service fee of $575 per exam session. This fee covers completion of all role orientation and training, in addition to exam day participation.

Given the high stakes for candidates taking the examinations, PEBC relies on the full commitment of assessors. Assessors should carefully evaluate their ability to complete all required activities, including those on exam day, before agreeing to participate in the exam session.
