The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) is recruiting pharmacist assessors for the Calgary site for the upcoming Qualifying Examination – Part II Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
Expectations
The required time commitment is as follows:
- one in-person orientation session (only for new assessors and returning assessors who have not participated in an exam in the past year),
- one online training session,
- additional online training (independent review of information and completion of scoring practice exercises), and
- exam day participation.
Qualifications
The most important qualification is current practice experience in a patient care environment performing or directly supervising patient care activities such as dispensing, compounding, clinical, and drug information services.
Reimbursement
All PEBC assessors are classified as independent contractors rather than employees of the PEBC. Full-day assessors will be compensated at a flat service fee of $575 per exam session. Half-day assessors will be compensated at a flat service fee of $375 per exam session.
