The Health Research Ethics Board of Alberta (HREBA) is recruiting new committee members and primary care providers including pharmacists are invited to apply.
HREBA is one of the three boards designated under Alberta’s Health Information Act to review and approve human health research in the province. HREBA’s Clinical Trials Committee (CTC), is currently seeking additional scientific members with clinical experience to support the ethical review of health research across Alberta.
The committee is looking for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals who are interested in contributing their expertise to research ethics oversight. Scientific member participation is essential to ensuring that research involving Albertans is scientifically sound, ethically rigorous, and conducted with appropriate safeguards for participant safety. The real-world perspectives of experienced clinicians directly strengthen the quality and integrity of health research in our province.
Areas of particular need include
- dermatology,
- pediatrics,
- family medicine,
- primary care, and
- community-based research.
HREBA welcomes scientific members from all clinical backgrounds. Please note that an honorarium is provided to recognize this vital participation.
