Panelists needed for language proficiency standard setting exercises

July 13, 2022
NAPRA is seeking pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who are proficient in English, French, or both languages.

The National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) is reviewing language proficiency requirements and standards to support safe and effective pharmacy practice.

To support the process of setting standards, panelists will collaborate to set cut-off scores (or pass scores) on accepted tests. The cut-off scores are used to determine if candidates have achieved the language proficiency standard required for licensure as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician in Canada.

NAPRA is seeking qualified panelists to participate in these standard-setting exercises. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who are proficient in English, French, or both languages are invited to submit an expression of interest.

Interested registrants can learn more and access the expression of interest survey on the NAPRA website. Questions can also be directed to LShaver@napra.ca.
