Pamela Spurvey and Adrian-Earl Robinson have both felt the stigma associated with substance use disorder through their own experiences and through helping others.
Both are on a successful recovery journey. Pamela is now a peer support worker with Alberta Health Services’ Opioid Dependency Program while Adrian-Earl is a shift liaison with Alberta Addicts Who Educate and Advocate Responsibly (AAWEAR).
Pamela and Adrian-Earl join ACP communications director Barry Strader for a discussion about the stigma people face when trying to access health services and how pharmacy teams can help reverse it.
