You must complete the new Licensee and Proprietor Education Programs before renewing your pharmacy’s licence.

In October 2024, ACP launched the new Licensee and Proprietor Education Programs (LPEP). The three programs are designed to ensure licensees and proprietors review the information required for their specific roles, understand their responsibilities, and ensure their knowledge is current. These programs are mandatory and must be completed before applying to renew your 2025-26 pharmacy licence.

The list below summarizes the program requirements based on your role.

  • Licensees are required to submit evidence of completion of
    • Licensee Development, or
    • Licensee Fundamentals.
  • Proprietor’s representatives are required to submit evidence of completion of
    • Proprietor Education Program (PEP), or
    • Licensee Fundamentals.
  • Licensees who are also proprietor’s representatives must submit evidence of completion of
    • Licensee Fundamentals, or
    • both Licensee Development and Proprietor Education Program (PEP).

To determine which program is the best fit for your role and experience, refer to the LPEP Q&A guide.

The time to renew your pharmacy’s licence is approaching—the deadline is May 31, 2025. Don’t wait until the last minute to complete these courses! Both licensees and proprietor’s representatives should complete relevant courses in advance because these courses require adequate time to complete and involve tests or assignments.

You will not receive the certificate of completion until all program requirements have been met. This certificate is required as part of your submission to renew your 2025-26 pharmacy licence. If this requirement is not met, you will not be able to renew your pharmacy’s licence.

If you haven’t already obtained your certificate of completion, get started now by determining which course you are required to take based on your role and experience level.
