Council elections

Polls in the election closed on May 7, 2026, and ACP Council will welcome a new member in addition to welcoming back a familiar face.

Pharmacist Deepak Narang was elected to his first three-year term, while pharmacy technician Nina Dueck was re-elected for a second, three-year term.

ACP congratulates Deepak and Nina and expresses appreciation to all candidates who put their names forward for election.


Upcoming special election

Per section 27 of the ACP Bylaws, a special election will be held in July-August 2026 to fill two vacant Council positions:

  • Pharmacist Councillor 5 – This position is for a three-year term, effective August 2026-June 2029. The successful candidate will be eligible for election for a second three-year term.
  • Pharmacy Technician Councillor 6 – This position is for a 10-month term effective August 2026-June 2027. The successful candidate will be eligible for election for a second three-year term.

The Nominating Committee invites applications from eligible pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across Alberta who are interested in being recommended to Council for nomination. Application forms must be submitted prior to 4:30 p.m. MT on Wednesday, June 1, 2026.
