The special election polls have closed, and ACP Council will welcome another new member this year and welcome back a familiar face. Regulated members had the opportunity to vote online until August 20, 2026.
Pharmacist Ali Damani was elected for a three-year term. Ali is a pharmacy owner, consultant, and senior strategist who has practised in Alberta for 24 years. Ali will be eligible for re-election for a second three-year term in 2029.
Pharmacy technician Laura Miskimins was elected for a 10-month term effective August 20, 2026, to June 30, 2027. She has practised and served in leadership roles in Alberta for the past 23 years in various pharmacy settings, and previously served on Council from 2023-25. Laura will be eligible to seek re-election for a three-year term in the 2027 election.
ACP congratulates Ali and Laura and thanks all the candidates who took part in the election process, as well as all the regulated members who voted.
